I have had a 6 week break from grad school because of yet another military move. My family and I got about 2 weeks notice of our move. I had to find a new school immediately, which was very stressful, I was lucky enough to find a professional and well regarded grad school that accepted me.
Of course the new school is more expensive than my other school but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Among other things, the Army has taught me to move out and adjust.
Well, classes began today and they are online which always require more work than brick and mortar classes. Work, work, work, here we go. I had to pick an entirely different program but it is another area that I want to work in, workplace diversity.
I did not want to take a break in school because I was afraid that I would not have the drive to start again after a 2 to 3 year break.
I left the Army 2 years ago to spend more time with my children and be with my husband who was stationed in Missouri while I was in Arizona. My husband has 2 years until he is eligible for retirement; I am hoping this will be our last move.
I recently moved to New York State from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. In the past 11 years I have lived in Aberdeen, MD, Fort Hood, TX, Seoul, Republic of Korea, Fort Huachuca, AZ, and Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
Moving is not fun at all.
